Bao Buns with Hoisin Jackfruit

Jack Naked Pulled

Bao Buns with Hoisin Jackfruit

One of the most popular snacks in recent years, which came to us from Vietnam - Bao Buns! Soft and fluffy steamed buns that can be stuffed with whatever you want :) A bit like our dumplings, but have you ever seen dumplings with Jackfruit? How to prepare

  1. Remove Jack from the packaging and transfer it to a bowl, covering it with water. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Afterward, drain the water and wash the Jack thoroughly, then drain it.
  2. Spread the dried Jack on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and bake for 15 minutes without steam.
  3. Mix, and if the Jack is still raw underneath, bake for another 5 minutes.
  4. After baking the Jack, add hoisin sauce, slightly diluted with water (the sauce is very thick, otherwise it will burn), mix well, and bake for another 5-7 minutes.
  5. Cook the buns in steam. Spread Sriracha mayonnaise inside. Fill with hoisin Jack and the rest of the toppings. Sprinkle with peanuts.
