How to prepare

  1. Chop the onion and garlic. Sauté them in a tablespoon of olive oil in a deep pan. Cook until the onion softens, about 3 minutes. Add diced celery stalks. Cook for another 3 minutes, stirring.
  2. Meanwhile, boil water for the pasta and cook it according to the package instructions.
  3. Pour the tomato passata into the pan and add half of the spices. Dilute with a small amount of water and cook, stirring, for about 10 minutes.
  4. Open the tuna cans without draining them. Transfer the contents to a bowl and add the remaining spices. Mix well and sauté in a separate pan until all the water evaporates and the tuna turns golden brown.
  5. Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes (without the oil), chopped olives, and drained capers to the sauce.
  6. Place the cooked pasta on a plate, top it with the tomato sauce, sautéed tuna, and garnish with olives, capers, and chopped parsley. If preferred, mix all the ingredients together with the sauce.
  7. Optionally, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast flakes.
